BC Lions game this Saturday

Guys,

While there is no official "Kickoff with the BC Lions", we are still going to a game, if you want to come...

The game is this Saturday, September 15th. We can go as a group meeting at 2:15pm at the church side parking lot, or we can meet down there at 3:00pm. You can get your tickets from me at the north end of the Science World Parking Lot at 3:00pm.

The tickets are $33 each and we will be sitting together in the endzone of the Upper Bowl. We will be with other Brigade Units. Our Battalion will be hanging around with the Grand Forks guys after the game. It ends at 8pm, but we won't have you home until 11:00pm. We will be having a very good time.

The is NO Tailgate Party and no food or pop. You may want to bring $10 for McD's or Costco before or after the game.

I need to hear from you very soon if you want to go, so tell me ASAP.

Man, I'm looking forward to this because we're going to have some FUN!

REGISTRATION and other important dates!

Hi Guys,

Just a note about what's happening in September.

13 September, this coming Thursday, is registration. Your parent(s) and/or guardian(s) need to register you. There is no regular meeting that night. Leaders and junior leaders should be there to help do some planning.

20 September is our first meeting.

27 September will be our first full regular meeting.

Kickoff BBQ

Hi Guys,

Tomorrow, Thursday September 6, will be our annual Fall Start BBQ at Blue Mountain Park.


We leave from the church at 6:30pm or meet at the south-east corner of the park (where the picnic shelters are) at 6:45pm.

Rain or shine.

We will be having burgers and ice cream. Come hungry.

We will return to the church at 8:45pm.

LAN Party Saturday

Gentlemen,

Battalion is still going and this coming Saturday we are hoping to have a LAN Party at the church from 9am to 9pm. Bring a lunch and supper or some money for MacD's, etc. Bring your computer and favorite multi-player games.

Summertime Fun!

Well, those who went to CSB N-Vision celebrating 75 years of Christian Service Brigade are back and they all seem to have come home intact. I'm hoping to get some pictures and a write-up of what they experience and post it here so those of us who were unable to go can see what we missed.

We're still meeting on Thursdays. Sometimes it's AirSoft, sometimes it's boardgames, maybe football or frisbee golf. Hope to see you there next Thursday.

Remember that in September we will be having out Kick-Off BBQ and that date will be announced very soon.

Wrap Up BBQ!!

Guys,

Battalion is having its spring Wrap-up BBQ at Belcarra THIS Thursday, May 31st.

We leave from the church about 6:30pm and expect to return between 9pm and 9:15pm.

We'll be having hamburgers and, for Jericho - the winning Squad - steaks. Ice cream for dessert.

We'll have the canoes, and those who have federal fishing licenses, we'll do some crabbing (bring your own traps and bait). There will also be football, etc.

Save room for your Battalion BBQ burgers.

Tough Guys Camp!

The annual Tough Guys Weekend Campout is coming up the first weekend in May (see poster to the right).
Be sure to let Captain Howard know that you're coming.
